A day in Florence with St Francis and Pinoccio!
The Domo in Siena — Shan and Becky— team is having a wonderful time in Tuscany. Off to Chanti and Florence Thursday. ciao
YW ladies and me at the San Gimignano gate and then on to being — see pic and you will understand I hope. LOL
And not a word from my children at home??
A view of San Gimignano and our farmhouse. We had a great day — food, vino, swim in the COLD pool and more vino and food and more vino.
Bill bought cheese that was Italian fruit Cake — the ladies beat the men to the gates of San Gimignano. ciao
Monday morning was a travel day — part of the team went to St Pete’s and the Pantheon while the offical “tour Guide” was making auto rental in the Termi! Only auto’s — 2 Fiat 500 which could not fit al of us and suite cases.
Bill and Sharron took the bullet train to Florence while the rest of the team had a number of challenges with the toll gate and map reading!! Lost in Tuscany — however — the farm house is out of the world — the view of San Gimignano is breathtaking.
We have a self serve wine bar near our rooms at the farmhouse of Casanova Di Pescille (check their website) along with a wonderful just wonderful ristorante. Food was out of this world. Becky even had wild Boar stew! And the vino was flowing.
Pescille is in the center of both olive grove and grapes, and an animal reserve. The ladies are on a walk to San Gimignano — looking for the church that St Francis built with his own hands. Ciao — Bella Toscano
Our team is here and having a wonderful time, except for a few hip cups — Mike Bagby got pickpocked while we where getting into the metro — loss his CC and diver’s license, cash. But we moved on to dinner and the next morning — Tom (shan husband) the next morning could not find his bag with their passports, CC, etc. We traced his trails with no success! @#@&***. We left Tom And Shan behind as we had reservations to the Vatican.
To our suprise they caught up with us on the Metro — Tom found his man purse under Shan’s sweater!!!! Could have been due to the Vino from the night before.
All and all just a wonderful time — food, fellowship and sights have been perfect. I’ll post pictures once I figure out HOW to get them from camera. ciao
HAH! Instituto Lorenzo de’Medici of Italy where Jersey Shore plans to shoot their next season has warned their students of soon to be “madness.”
Officials at the Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici fired off a letter to students saying:
“Dear Students,
Our Housing dept. has informed us that starting May 9th there will be shootings inside the 2nd floor apartment of your building. We advise you to NOT sign any paper, let anyone in, and keep us informed.”
University sources tell us the I.L.D.M. is so serious about keeping students in a guido-free environment … officials have offered “alternative housing close to campus” to anyone who wants to get away from the madness.
We’re told the school has also offered to issue a partial refund to anyone who has already pre-paid for their rent … and wants to leave.BAHAHAH
